POD – The Aucilla

The Aucilla River in the Big Bend area of North Florida is one of the most natural, least populated ares of the state. The river disappears underground and reappears several times before emptying into the Gulf of Mexico. The Aucilla is a rich source of late Pleistocene and early Holocene animal bones and human artifacts.
