  1. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a banana bloom before, although I have seen the bananas on trees. Thanks for sharing this picture.

    1. The little fingerlings on the bloom are actually the beginnings of the fruit. It takes about two months for a stalk to mature. Thank you for visiting.

  3. I was astounded the first time I saw a banana stalk and the flower – Incredibly, despite eating bananas my whole life, I only learned how they grow during a recent visit to Costa Rica.

    1. Yes, isn’t it amazing how much all of us don’t understand or take for granted. These photos are of trees growing in my garden; otherwise I would be clueless. Thank you for your visit and comment.
