    1. As I recall, they were as hard as rocks.

  2. Really pretty colors. Autumn is friendly to us photographers.

    1. Indeed, fall colors make it easy. 🙂

  3. These are so gorgeous! I am tempted to reach into the photo and retrieve my favorites and do some watercolor studies! What is it about those amazing fall colors?

    1. I would love to see you do a water color study. Fall colors are so joyful, happy colors. Wee need to keep their memories to get us through the more melancholy winter months. Thanks Lisa, for your comments.

      1. you are right, and i don’t miss those winter months at all. my perennial cough would begin each november and last until march. it seemed that february always brought the most difficult stretch of bad weather.
i rejoice that i don’t have to endure icy conditions any more!

        1. When it gets below 75 F/ 24 C it feels chilly. 🙂

          1. a few days ago at hacienda guachala in the andes, i was surprised to see ‘frosty breath’ accompany me in the early morning walk on the grounds.

we have three or four more days in the andes before heading to sea level!
