Weekly Photo Challenge: Ghostly Silhouettes

Pelican GhostsThe sun had just slid beneath the horizon for another day. The sky was virtually cloudless, hence the eerie blue glow of the water being reflected from above. A few pelicans remain on the pilings a short distance away. But, they too sense approaching nightfall and begin to leave for their night’s roost. Their ghost-like traces are recorded by my camera as a mere blur.

I love all of the posts and images, but wow, this image fires many of my brain cells! it’s soothing and calm and dreamlike and invites the viewer to hang around and experience it a bit longer! z
