Long Shadows, Havana

A group of photographers cast long shadows against the wall of the El Morro Castle while waiting for the sun to set over the Malecon in Havana, Cuba.

El Morro, HavanaPerched on the promontory on the opposite side of the harbor from Old Havana it can be viewed from miles around as it dominates the port entrance.

  5. To be somewhere where ” No Starbucks, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Target, Walmart, etc” can be found sounds truly amazing. Somewhere that eats fresh and local and supports the local economy.

    1. That is Cuba for sure, but, of course, there is a downside. Cubans don’t have the freedom they would like and deserve to have and lack the variety of goods and services. Nonetheless, Cubans have a wonderful spirit.
