The miracle of light pours over the green and brown expanse of saw grass and of water, shining and slowly moving, the grass and water that is the meaning and the central fact of the Everglades. It is a river of grass.

5 Jul 2015Great shot Ron ~ capturing a storm coming in with sunny skies still around is always a pretty special time. The contrast here is awesome ~

9 Jul 2015It was a special time. We hung around watching it all build with hopes of a shot. A good day. Thanks Randall.

5 Jul 2015I love the contrast between the dry spikey grass, its rigid lines, and leached out colour, and the dark and building fluidity of the storm. I can almost feel the static 🙂

9 Jul 2015Thanks, Trish. It was a special moment in that the sun was still shining in the foreground with the thunderheads in the background. It was all over and pouring in a few minutes. 🙂

5 Jul 2015A really dramatic shot, Ron. Was there much rain after the impressive build-up of clouds and rumbles?

9 Jul 2015We headed home after shooting there and, yes, had to drive through it all. Though the storm was waiting some by then. Thanks Sylvia.
