Three Part Harmony

Three Part Harmony

Brown Pelican

Within moments of walking on to my dock, this afternoon a trio of brown pelicans crash landed into the water at my feet. They do this whenever they see me, assuming I’m there cleaning fish. World-class beggars for sure. But no fish scraps today. I was there to, hopefully, photograph these prehistoric looking guys. Whenever I would lean out, camera at the ready, they would flutter their wings and extend their bill in hopes of catching a treat, like a baseball fan hoping to catch a foul ball. Finally, the threesome posed, heads turned just so, for their portrait I call “Three Part Harmony.”
