Fishing in Bayou Country

Fishing in Bayou Country

bayou-fishing_

As the saying goes, “A bad day fishing is better than a good day working.” And these guys are making the best of a late summer’s day of fishing deep in Lousiana bayou country. In spite of the idyllic setting, each fisherman appears totally engrossed in what may lay beneath the surface.

  1. Superb. Lovely composition and depth of field, but there’s something about the light in this one that’s just gorgeous.

  2. Like it! It’s street photography out in the bayou.Really nice presentation.

  3. There is so much happening in this shot Ron, and above all it is fun and happiness that shine through. Great shot ~ great feelings you captured.

    1. The idyllic-ness of the scene is what appealed to me. The lighting that day was spectacular. Thanks, Randall.

  4. Interesting photograph. You’ve got a lot going on. My eye gets pulled down in one direction and then pulled up in the other. I have to agree with the saying too. I’d rather be fishing than working in my office if I had any choice in the matter. 🙂

    1. Yes, there is a lot going on which makes it have the feel of a painting or illustration as much as a photo, to my eye. Thanks for your comment, Bun, and for visiting.

    1. Thanks. I thought it really made the photo.
