Late every Sunday afternoon, a cast of characters descend upon the beach at Siesta Key, to celebrate the setting sun and life in general.
As they have for over twenty years, people from all walks of life come to drum, to dance, or to just celebrate the moment, transforming the end of the weekend into a celebration.
The drumming starts a couple of hours before sunset and continues, virtually non-stop, until the last rays of the setting sun have disappeared.
Siesta Key, renowned for having one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, is a barrier island just off the coast of Sarasota, Florida.
