Freedom, as I have mentioned before, is my most cherished possession. Especially freedom to travel, to explore, to seek new horizons. When I travel, I open my mind, my eyes and my heart to better understand this incredibly fascinating world I live in. Travel enables me to be more tolerant of the absurdities that surround me daily – today more than ever.
JRR Tolkien said it well:
Remember what Bilbo used to say: It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.
“Moonlight Traveler” is something from my idealized, somewhat surreal imagination that speaks to that freedom of travel. Unincumbered, unquestioning, freedom to seek what is ahead. To travel the road less traveled.
