GIVERNY

GIVERNY

Giverny

It’s late afternoon in early fall at Giverny, the pastoral water garden where Claude Monet created his most famous paintings. The ambiance here is palatable with the lush beauty, peacefulness. Colorful silence. With apologies to Claude, I have taken some artistic liberties with a photograph I made here a few years ago.

My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece

    1. Thanks, Cathy. I hope Monet isn’t too upset with me. 🙂

  1. Having been there I think you chose the perfect spot to illustrate ambience Ron!

    1. It is stunningly beautiful, isn’t it. Thanks, Tina. Hope all is well with you and yours.

  2. I love the ‘artistic’ finish. It works really well for this scene. I remember spending hours there a few years ago – incredibly special, and really beautiful place. I took hundreds of photos but I have no idea where they are now. It was before I had a digital camera I think. I guess I need to go back 🙂

  3. Good old Giverny! This really takes me back to one of the years that I spent in France as a student. Thanks for sharing! I have just started a poetry blog here on WordPress in case you are interested in taking a look? Have a good day, Sam 🙂
