Today’s images are from a recent visit to a Muscle Car Museum, which showcased a collection of over 200 completely restored cars from the 50s to 70s. Predominantly General Motors brands. They are beautiful and very colorful. And tightly packed together and harshly lit from above. Thus photographing an individual vehicle was impossible plus the lighting scattered hot spots across the shiny paint.
What to do? Make lemonade out of lemons, of course. Since car portraits were out of the question, I decided to go to the other extreme and try to shoot tightly cropped abstracts.
