Food Photography
I admit it, I’ve been Playing with Food lately. As you know, the Old World style of Still Life photography has been my passion for the past year or two. These elaborate tableaus in the Dutch Grand Master style are where my photographic creativity lies. But I’ve been wandering a little off course. Playing with Food. Food Photography is a form of still life photography, but with its own emphasis. For example, a single item is often the “hero” of the shot. This can be accomplished by the way the shot is cropped, or by selective depth of field (keeping the hero in focus and allowing the other elements to fall out of sharp focus).
