My old traditional cast iron Japanese teapot is making another appearance. This time in a dark and moody setting, emphasizing just the shape and texture of the vessel. The Tetsubin, the cast-iron Japanese kettle was used to heat water for tea usually over a charcoal brazier. Being made from heavy iron the pot could keep the water hot for quite a while.
