“A Permanent Reminder of a Temporary Feeling”

Louie brought his new girlfriend over, and the nicest thing I can say about her is all her tattoos are spelled correctly.

While I don’t think I have ever seen a tattoo that I felt actually made a person more attractive, I do find the body art phenomena interesting. I don’t understand the need for body graffiti, but then I am several generations older than most of the tattoos out there. And that exempts me. However, I am inclined to agree with a line in one of Jimmy Buffett’s songs: “It’s a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling.” Surely, that is not always true. I imagine most folks sporting ink art are more thrill seeking and risk taking than me. And that makes me a little envious.

For you photographers, the images were made with my new Olympus’s OM-D E-M5 II. Both photos were shot at iso 800 with an Olympus 45mm (90mm equivalent) at f1.8. The first was shot at 1/40 and the second at 1/60. Lightroom was used for processing. Happily, the camera is exceeding my expectations in almost all respects, especially low light shooting and overall image quality.
