Postcard from Regensburg, Germany

Postcard from Regensburg, Germany

Regensburg, Germany-

The oldest city on the Danube, Regensburg is one of Bavaria’s most beautiful cities.  Pausing on the ancient bridge leading to this medieval town, one is treated to a hauntingly beautiful landscape that has changed little over the centuries.

Regensburg, Germany-

In sharp contrast to this Old World city, BMW’s highly automated assembly plant is just a few miles away. Here, amazing robots aided by a few humans turn out 1100 “Beemers” a day.

  4. I was born in Regensburg and grew up and went to school there. I spent the first 18 years of my life walking the cobblestones of the city’s ancient alleys. I just visited there again this past May, and stood on the old stone bridge, looking down on the Danube. Thanks for this beautiful postcard.
