Reflecting on America

Reflecting on America

Reflection on America

As this election cycle continues to wear me down I find myself Reflecting on America. And do you know what I have concluded? America is great, has been great, and will remain great. Sure these are troubling times globally as well as here at home. Our problems are many but in my opinion, things are not as dire as our politicians, want-to-be politicians, talking heads, sensationalizing social media, doomsayers, et al would have us believe. So thank you all for getting me out of my funk. And reminding just how fortunate I am to be an American. God bless America.

    1. I think many of us are feeling similarly.

      1. What’s disturbing, Ron, is that too many people feel just the opposite of how we do!

  1. Reblogged this on lacitypix.

  2. Well said Ron – and loved the image. Which came first, the chicken or the egg??

    1. I took the photo several weeks ago with no real intent in mind. Then last week as my frustration with negativity I happened on the photo again and the idea jelled. Silly as it sounds, it was cathartic as I realized things aren’t”t good but not as bad as THEY would have us believe.

  3. Love this image and your thoughts, Ron. I’m not an American, but I’m really happy to be living here. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Sylvia. And we are happy you are here.

  4. Beautiful shot Ron, your photo says it all “America is great, has been great, and will remain great.”

    1. As I indicated in the text, I have grown weary of all the negativity. This political season has worn me out and I am so looking forward to November when it will be over. I envy your distant vantage point. As always, thanks, Randall.

  5. Amen.My sentiments exactly.

    1. David, so good to hear from you. I hope all is well.
