“Rose Buds – Withered Beauties”, is a still life photograph of dried rosebuds. The beautiful background is rice paper impregnated with flecks of dried plant material. I am pleased with how the buds and leaves harmonized so well with the paper. The bud and leaves are what remains of a bouquet my late mother received almost a decade. Isn’t it amazing how these roses dried but retained much of their color, especially the red bloom?
