A Rickshaw puller in Calcutta, India, is about to start his grueling day delivering his fares or their parcels through Kolkatta’s narrow, winding, traffic-choked streets. This is one in a series of images of mine previously published in Seeing in Sixes 2017.
As always, thanks for visiting. Be well. Stay safe

1 Feb 2021Dear Ron,
great picture with fine grey tones. Really different to most pictures of India that are in colour.
It’s so typical for India. I was travelling through India for a bit more than a year but 30 years ago.
Thanks for sharing. Keep well

4 Feb 2021Thank you. I spent a little extra time processing this one and am pleased with the results. I miss India and would love to return- though that seems doubtful.

1 Feb 2021A truly great photo. You captured the fatalism of this man – and India – so well. Just look at those eyes.

4 Feb 2021Thanks. Indians seem better than most Westerners at accepting their lot in life and I mean that in a positive way.
