It is so cool to be able to do what you love – you guessed it, photography and travel. To be able to combine one passion with another is just the ultimate. I feel so very fortunate. To travel to places up until now that I have only dreamed of, and to record images of the adventure, is so incredibly satisfying. My Yin and Yang. The two, for me, are the perfect fit. Travel satisfies my wanderlust, and photography, my creative spirit. Perfect!.
My desire is to share some of the adventures and many of the photographs with you. Travel is exhilarating and often exhausting. The road less traveled doesn’t always get you where you want to go, but when it does – wow! It is almost always better to be a traveler than a tourist. Photography tickles my creative spirit and challenges me technically. Doing it well is an ongoing learning experience. My images are not uploaded straight from my camera and I never shoot in “program” mode.
For several years I have maintained a substantial website (click here) of my images. Many, but not all, are Travel Galleries (click here). Additionally I write another blog (click here) on that site. My hope is that you will spend some time with me here and wander through some of the hundreds of images on my website.
I am often asked if I would like to return to the country we are talking about. My answer, invariably, is, “Yes, but like books, there are so many countries and so little time.” Let’s get going.
