Thinking about Escape. Am I wanting to escape from something, or do I want to escape to someplace, or am I contemplating the act of escape?
The Tropic Theater, Key West, FL
Often I like to escape for a short while by watching a movie or reading a book.

I often think of sailing as the ultimate means of escape…freedom.

Where do I want to escape to? Beaches usually top my list as do lush tropical islands.
Where is your favorite escape?
In case you have not figured it out, I’m participating in the LetsBeWild.com Weekly Photo Challenge This week’s Challenge is: Escape

29 Oct 2012Wonderful, Ron! I love films as well! Especially in a beautiful, old, independent cinema with big sofa style seats and footrests! We have one here in Edinburgh. Most of all, I escape and refresh in nature , especially where there are trees. Mountains and hills too. And I love the sea to swim in when it is not too sunny! 🙂 Thanks for asking … hehe! 🙂

1 Nov 2012Thank you Gigi, for commenting. Yes, getting close to nature is soothing for most of us.

31 Oct 2012Wonderful pictures and interpretation! And hey, you’ve been to Bali, Indonesia, while I have never been there though I am from Indonesia. 😀
I love the colours on your pictures. 🙂

1 Nov 2012Thank you Inge. Where in Indonesia are you from? Bali is beautiful but I sense it is not the real Indonesia. I hope to explore more of your country someday soon.

16 Nov 2012Some of us enviously think you are already there in your cozy little river house.

16 Nov 2012Ja! I laughed at that one! Yes, I am lucky. With a well stocked pantry and plenty of cooking gas, i can endure an el nino year pretty well if the roads should wash out. With that big window, I can paint and watch the trees washing downriver and hope that the riverbank stays in place!!!
I should probably buy lots more candles and matches, just to be prepared!
