“High Life ” looks as though it has seen better days. The shrimp trawler’s water line looks to be a little higher than normal. having just offloaded her catch. The crew has a few days off while the boat is resupplied with fuel, ice, and food; the nets need to be mended, too. Soon “High Life” will slip her moorings and head back out to the Gulf of Mexico. There the crew will trawl for those prized Gulf shrimp by night and rest by day. The nightly, daily monotony will continue until her holds are full.
Much more from me on shrimp boats and shrimpers here. Thanks for visiting. Stay well and stay safe.
