“Apricots and Plums”
“Apricots and Plums” is a recent composition that ties together a few different concepts that have been floating around in my mind for a while. Of course, the complimenting colors of the apricots and plums is pleasing to the eye. The colors are subtly repeated elsewhere in the scene. The dark, moody lighting is another element I am interested in exploring. Lastly, adding other items to the scene and placing the plate off center makes the composition a little more than just another bowl of fruit.
