If I Had a Hammer
“If I Had a Hammer” is a reflection of times gone by. The old short handled sledgehammer has been in our family for as long as I can remember. The background is a photograph I made at a defunct blast furnace so years ago. Both images of the useful, the necessary in the early years of the past century. Interestingly, the sledgehammer was my daily companion in the mid-1970s while I built a log cabin, our new family home in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
