Widtsoe, Utah – a Ghost Town

This old cabin is about all that remains of Widtsoe, Utah, one of several of Utah’s ghost towns. The town, some sixteen miles northeast of Bryce Canyon, was first settled in the early 1900s. By the mid-1930s continuous drought conditions drove most of the 1000 residents away. The Forrest Service ultimately tore most of the buildings down.
