Waiting for Spring – El Nino Go Away

Waiting for Spring

As I plod through the seemingly endless winter, my craving for spring grows more intense each day. The landscape around me is dull and lifeless, even here in Florida, with too many days of grey skies as far as the eye can see. It’s a constant reminder of the El Niño weather pattern lingering around this winter and the absence of vibrant colors and lively energy that come with spring.

As I wait for the arrival of spring, my mind drifts to memories of past springs – the constant chirping of the mockingbirds, the delicate blossoms adorning trees and bushes, hay fever, and the refreshing aroma of newly bloomed flowers filling the air. These memories give me hope and ignite a yearning for the imminent arrival of warmer and brighter days.

Every ray of sunshine becomes a cherished moment, offering a brief respite from winter’s grey and dampness. It almost feels as though nature is teasing me, showing me glimpses of what’s to come, only to retreat again behind a thick veil of clouds. Despite this, my anticipation for spring grows more potent, fueling my longing for the transformation spring promises to bring.

So, I wait with bated breath and a hopeful heart, eager for the day when winter’s grip finally loosens and spring bursts forth in all its glory. I know its arrival is just beyond the horizon, ready to breathe new life into my weary soul and banish the gloom of the past months.
