Weekly Photo Challenge: Mine – Free to Travel

Passport - Freedom

As I reflected on the theme of this week’s Photo Challenge, Mine, I asked myself what I truly cherish. What is my most prized possession? Interestingly, what I appreciate more than anything is not tangible. It is not stuff, though I have a lot of stuff. What I claim as mine is freedom. Especially freedom to travel, to explore, to learn, to understand, to share.

I like what JRR Tolkien has to say:

“Remember what Bilbo used to say: It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
