Travel Theme: Foliage – Bamboo on Fuchsia

Bamboo on Fuschia

I was stopped dead in my tracks recently by this image at a nearby botanical garden. A clump of bamboo unhappily growing in a bed in front of a fuchsia wall caught my attention. This single wayward cane and its curling branch and few leaves demanded I photograph it. There were a few more scraggly leaves at the top of the cane but this is what caught my eye. It remains one of my favorite images.

Thanks Ailsa for this week’s Travel Theme: Foliage.
