How do you know? Along life’s journey, how do you know? Do you take the right fork on the road ahead or the left? And what lies just beyond that curve up there? If life is a journey, then I say get out there and explore it. Sign up for the adventure. Take that first step and hold your head up, open your eyes and your heart. And let your adventure begin.
It was William Least Heat-Moon, author of “Blue Highways,” who said:
“These are the days that must happen to you”
Hopefully, you will be fortunate enough to spend a few nights at the Warrior Motel as you travel the road ahead. It is an adventure you don’t want to miss.

6 Mar 2017It is time for a re-read…Blue Highways and also Annie Dillard’s Pilgrim at Tinker Creek.
By the way I found Mr. Moon’s advice to look for the cafe with the most calendars to be good. Not so much anymore as the calendar as advertising thing seems to be falling out of fashion as we turn to our devices instead of wall calendars from the bank or local hardware.

6 Mar 2017Had just finished re-reading Blue Highways which,I suppose, inspired this post. I look for the number of cars in front of cafes these days. And I’ll be revisiting Annie Dillard. Thanks so much for your comment and for visiting.

12 Mar 2017What a wonderful photo, Ron. It looks a little ghost-like though. Is it actually open for business? I might be a little nervous about staying here. Hey, what kind of photo editing tools do you use? I need to get something new as soon as I can. 🙂
